Introduction

The Pet ShopTM “story-construction” program invites children to explore the elements of character, action, and setting as they explore an informational story. These story elements can go together in many different ways to create a story. Pet Shop encourages children to construct their own story meaning through storytelling, reading, and writing. Children will find that there are many stories waiting to be discovered and told. Each story comes alive through the child’s experience, knowledge, and imagination.
