But you won’t catch any fish if you don’t have any fishing supplies (a fishing pole, net, or spear). To reduce your chances of snakebite, make sure everyone in your wagon party has a pair of boots. Historically, the years 1849, 1850, and 1852 saw major cholera epidemics. This fact is reflected in Oregon Trail II. People have a greater chance of contracting cholera if you travel in any of those three years. | Chickens lay eggs, providing a daily boost to your food supplies. Unfortunately, chickens tend to die off quickly, and they won’t produce eggs in very dry areas. Having a compass improves your chances at being able to find an alternate path around a trail obstruction. Also, people are little less likely to get lost if you have one. Musical instruments provide you with a weekly boost to your morale. |
