Introduction
Each year we have spring,summer, fall and winter. In each season we see many changes. What changes can we see in our daytime sky and what causes them? Do the Earth’s motions cause our seasons? Does the Sun cause our seasons?
These programs can help you to investigate some of these questions.
In these programs, there are three variables and three commands. The variables you can change are Month, Place, and Time.
Teacher Information
Sun and Seasons is intended for grades 3 through 6 and can be easily adapted for junior high. It is designed to be used together with an astronomy unit and associated student activities focusing on the Sun’s influence on the seasons of the year. These programs emphasize science inquiry skills and conceptual understanding.
Teacher Options allow you to:

- Reasons for Seasons- a discovery-learning simulation that enables students to investigate how place, month and time affect the Sun’s position in our sky.
